Bringing together the strengths in nuclear science of the Aix-Marseille site to consolidate our international scientific position.
Bringing together the strengths in nuclear science of the Aix-Marseille site to consolidate our international scientific position.
The Institute for fusion sciences and instrumentation in nuclear environments draws on research teams within 10 research units and 2 joint laboratories with the CEA. It therefore connects around a hundred staff from Aix Marseille Université, the CNRS and Centrale Méditerranée as well as 150 CEA staff within the IRESNE and the IRFM.
The Institute for fusion sciences and instrumentation in nuclear environments proposes a number of actions for researchers, teacher-researchers, engineers, postdoctoral students and PhD students at its laboratories: structuring of partnership research projects, fostering of inter-laboratory research, development of interdisciplinarity, support for international mobility, involvement in international conferences and workshops. We are also working to create a PLATINUM platform for conducting on-site and online experimental and digital research with international partners.

I'm in charge of the 3P-3F interdisciplinary project involving 3 laboratories and 2 CEA institutes. This ISFIN-funded project aims to study and predict the evolution of the thermo-physical properties of materials after their use in a nuclear environment. A physico-chemical, thermal and nuclear approach is used to better understand thermal measurements in fusion and fission.
